‘Dynamite’ thus achieved the third 1.4 billion views in BTS’ music video after ‘Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)’ and ‘DNA.’

‘Dynamite,’ released simultaneously on August 21, 2020, is a cheerful, disco-pop song. It is a ‘healing song’ with BTS’s desire to deliver a message of hope for everyone in a difficult time due to COVID-19.
The ‘Dynamite’ music video contains the members expressing their own style and personality in different spaces. This music video provides a variety of attractions, such as a background using colorful props and retro-concept clothes and hairstyles. Also, it surpassed 3 million concurrent users immediately after its release. Then, it achieved a YouTube premiere viewing record of 100 million in 24 hours. With 100 million views, it is recognized as a new record for ‘most viewed in 24 hours’ in YouTube music video history.

It charted for a total of 32 weeks. It includes being at the top of the US Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’ chart for two weeks in a row. Also, it set the record for the longest-charting song for a Korean singer.
‘Dynamite’ also surpassed the cumulative 1 billion streams in Spotify in 2021. It is the first time as a Korean artist’s work. Since then, it has been the second and the first male artist’s work to break the record of 500 million views.
